ABOUT AURORA

Like the beautiful northern lights after which she was named, Aurora Scott possesses a rare and magnetic presence that has been captivating audiences since she was a child. In 2012, she released her first album, Dance With You, which launched her career and brought her to the international stage.

She became the first female vocalist to lead the Queens Room Orchestra on board Cunard’s luxury cruise ship, The Queen Victoria, dazzling crowds with her sultry vocals, natural elegance, and sophisticated sense of style.

After suffering a debilitating injury, Aurora has since toured in Australia, worked as the resident jazz singer at the magnificent Island Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong, and recently returned to the Halifax International Jazz Festival for her homecoming show in 2023.

Aurora Scott now performs regularly with accompanist, Peter Davison on guitar and collaborates with celebrated Halifax producer and “all things strings” player, Jamie Robinson, creating original music intended for the stage and studio. Her new single, Phoenix, is living up to its name and is making a splash on air waves across Canada, also appearing on the East Coast Top 30 radio chart.

Aurora is currently creating a full-length album of original music that will feature award-winning musicians, including Jamie Robinson, Dave Gunning, and others. This album is scheduled for release in 2024. Stay tuned!
